Meet Freeda Thong
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Holistic Speech Pathology on the Gold Coast
Is your child navigating challenges with speech clarity, early language, literacy, feeding, or social connection? Freeda Thong offers warm, neuroaffirming speech therapy that empowers families and helps children thrive — at home, at school, or in the clinic.
Why Work with Freeda?
Freeda is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with extensive experience in paediatric care, including early language development, speech sound disorders, feeding therapy, literacy support, orofacial myology, and gender-affirming voice therapy.
With dual degrees in Science and Speech Pathology and a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies, Freeda brings both clinical depth and a heartfelt, play-based approach to every session. She believes therapy should be functional, fun, and family-led — and her goal is to empower parents to become confident communication partners in their child’s everyday life.
She’s also a passionate educator and mentor, working as a casual academic at two universities and providing clinical supervision for early career speech pathologists. A qualified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Freeda actively contributes to early literacy and community education initiatives, including professional development for early learning centres.
Whether supporting toddlers, school-aged children, or adolescents, Freeda’s practice is grounded in collaboration. She works closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, individualised support that creates meaningful, lasting progress.
