We are a COVID-19 vaccination provider

Southport Doctors is pleased to advise that we are an approved vaccination provider for the COVID-19 vaccines. We are happy to help provide COVID-19 immunisation for our local area and wider community.

Vaccine Pfizer is the available COVID-19 vaccine at Southport Doctors. This vaccine, as is the case with all COVID-19 vaccines, can prevent people from becoming ill from COVID-19.

Vaccination is voluntary and free. You can discuss any concerns or questions you have about COVID-19 vaccination with your immunisation provider and/or your GP before you receive the vaccine.

Who is eligible?

All age groups are now eligible for vaccination.

Pfizer is recommended for ages 12 and over.

The benefits of vaccination still greatly outweigh the risk of this condition regardless of your age and the vaccine you receive.

Why you should consider getting vaccinated

Receiving the COVID-19 Vaccine protects people from becoming ill from COVID-19. This vaccine has been shown to be highly effective in preventing serious complications from the virus involving severe illness, hopsitalisation and death.

Vaccination helps protect both individual people and also benefits all people in the community by reducing the spread of COVID-19.

COVID-19 Vaccines are designed to better equip our immune systems to fight the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the virus that causes COVID-19.

It is important to understand that the COVID-19 vaccine cannot give you COVID-19, because the vaccine does not contain any live SARS-CoV-2 virus.
