Dr Anna Fitzgerald graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School with 1st Class Honours in 2000 and became a Fellow of the RACGP in 2007. Following graduation, she worked for Queensland Health in Townsville, Gympie, Caboolture and QEII Hospital before undertaking general practice training.
While working in the public health system, Dr Fitzgerald was exposed to a broad range of medicine including emergency care, surgery, paediatrics, women’s health and anaesthetics. Dr Fitzgerald developed a particular interest in paediatrics, general medicine and women’s health. She completed a Certificate in Family Planning and Reproductive Health in 2008 and performs birth control implant insertions.
Outside of the work, Dr Anna enjoys spending time with her family and chasing her very active young daughter. She also enjoys gardening, hiking, cycling and music.
