Dr Michelle emigrated from England in 2011 with her husband and twin boys. She studied originally at the University of Southampton, graduating in 2001. After completing her junior hospital roles and successfully completing her membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2006, she became a partner in a family medical centre. It was here that Michelle gained a good and thorough grounding in women’s health, which included gynaecology and antenatal care. Her other main interests are children’s health and family planning. Michelle is also experienced in sexual health, having been employed by the hospital family planning and sexual health clinic. She is a fully trained IUD and contraception implant inserter.

Since moving to the Gold Coast Michelle has completed the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice. Her medical interests are all aspects of chronic disease, eg asthma, COPD, diabetes and heart disease. She  encourages a multidisciplinary approach to managing chronic illnesses. Michelle was also one of the first GPs on the coast to become a specialist authorised prescriber of Medicinal cannabis. This has proven to be a very satisfying aspect of medicine giving much needed relief to a wide range of patients and conditions.
